The purpose of this qualification is to develop learners knowledge and understanding of the Prevent duty, British values, safeguarding and online safety. This includes developing an understanding of the effects of extremism, radicalisation and terrorism. The aims are to promote equality, diversity, and social inclusion in the workplace to support the Governments agenda on tackling radicalisation and extremism.

The knowledge and skills developed are appropriate to a wide range of job roles and are relevant to organisations in meeting their statutory requirements under the Prevent Duty.

The TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Safeguarding, Prevent and British Value (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual.

The qualification is suitable for:

• The qualification is appropriate to a wide range of learners especially those on apprenticeship programmes or other training to prepare for work or as part of induction to a job role. It can also be used as part of citizenship programmes for individuals coming to live in the UK.

 

Learning Objectives & Assessment:

 

The course consists of the following units:

• Principles of safeguarding

• The importance of British Values

• The importance of online safety

• The prevent duty and its importance in society

 

This qualification is assessed by an online workbook. This assessment model requires learners to provide a short response to prescribed questions within a workbook set by TQUK and Infinite Education & Training. Successful learners will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the qualification syllabus.

Entry requirements:

Our TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Safeguarding, Prevent and British Value (RQF) qualification is openly available to anyone working with children and young adults. It is a requirement for you to understand the safeguarding policies when working directly with children and young adults.

• Learners will need sufficient numeracy and literacy

• Students should have access to a computer and the internet throughout your study period.

• Learners should have basic PC skills in order to navigate our Support Portal

• You should be fully committed to your studies.

• Must be aged 16 and over
